Family Fun Night

Thursday, June 26, 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM

What better way to kick off summer than to bring your family and friends for a free night at The Discovery Museums on Thursday, June 26, from 5:30 – 8:00 PM.  Bring along a picnic dinner and enjoy a concert by local favorite, Gene Stamell.  You can discover the science of making your own fresh fruit slushy and participate in a special scavenger hunt. There will be a hunt for younger children at Children’s Discovery and a hunt for those in Grades 1 through 6 at Science Discovery focused on everyday chemistry.  We will also be collecting donations for the Acton Food Pantry.  The Pantry serves 135 families per week and has seen a significant increase in families with babies and younger children.  All non-perishable items are welcome but the following are sorely needed: canned tuna fish, canned beans, spaghetti sauce, bagged white rice, pasta, canned fruit, powdered milk, milk-based Similac formula and diapers. Sponsored by the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation and Welch’s.
