About the Museums
| The Discovery Museums, located in Acton, Massachusetts, just west of Boston, inspire enduring curiosity and love of learning through interactive discovery, hands-on inquiry and scientific investigations. Younger children learn while they play at the Children's Discovery Museum. Older children explore scientific concepts and hands-on creativity at the Science Discovery Museum. The Museums have extensive school programs which include museum field trips, group visits, and classroom outreach. | ||
| A wonder-filled 120 year old Victorian house with rooms, corridors, and closets creatively transformed into ten hands-on exhibit areas especially for toddlers and pre-school children and their families. Because of the small spaces in the building, we suggest that you use back pack carriers or Snuglis® in place of strollers. | A creative and challenging interactive experience designed especially for school aged children, filled with innovative theme spaces for hands-on experimenting with the basic sciences and math. All spaces in the building are handicapped accessible. There is also an elevator for your convenience. | |
