Step inside the Children's Discovery Museum and you'll begin to see your child's world through new eyes.  Everywhere you look, there's an invitation to touch, see, feel, and engage with your child in new ways.  Feel at home in the intimate spaces of this classic Victorian house where the small-scale rooms, hallways, and closets have been transformed into exhibit areas.

No visit is complete without a stop in Bessie's Play Diner where children cook, serve and eat pretend meals.  Children are active observers of adult behavior.  Let them lead the way in the Diner and assist them in their practice and integration of appropriate social behavior.

The Train Room is the exhibit where children act as conductor, engineer and ticket taker.  Here children learn to play cooperatively with peers and adults, a critical step in their social development.

Come on a safari dressed as a tiger, elephant or cheetah!  The Safari Room is a space that supports what educators agree is a key component of early childhood fantasy  Children solve personal problems and concerns by devising imagined scenarios to work them out.

Explore the wonders of colors and delight in recognizing familiar ones in The Rainbow Room.  This giant rainbow puzzle teaches object recognition and sorting, a key skill in emergent math and science.

Welcome aboard the S.S.Discover! The Museum's entire third floor is converted to a nautical adventure.  Catch and release fish and lobsters, fix the engine below deck and navigate the ship to finish a busy day of playing and learning.
