Professor Resnick develops new technologies and activities to engage people (especially children) in creative learning experiences. He spoke about the importance of creating these kinds of experiences to develop essential skills for life in the 21st century. He also demonstrated Scratch, the project his Lifelong Kindergarten research group at the MIT Media Lab developed to help people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. Scratch is provided free of charge and is used by millions of young people around the world.
