Celebrate a special occasion or company event with an after-hours rental of The Discovery Museums. Guests of all ages will enjoy the unique museum experience with our hands-on exhibits, In addition to your private visit, we provide experienced exhibit staff, kitchen facilities, and distinctive spaces for food and live music.

The Discovery Museums are an award winning suburban facility. Our three acre campus includes outdoor exhibits, an extensive free parking area, and is easily accessible from major highways. Rentals are available seven days a week, from 5:30-11:00 PM in any of our three venues.

The Science Discovery Museum is a unique environment filled with exciting hands-on exhibits waiting to be explored.  From the Harmonograph Table to the Rubber Ball Music Wall, the Science Museum inspires fun and exploration. The building is fully accessible on all three floors.

The Children's Discovery Museum, housed in a classic Victorian building, hosts creative and intimate exhibits for preschoolers and the child in us all.  Whether you are crossing the suspension bridge in the Safari Room, serving a meal in Bessie's Diner or raising the flags in the Discovery Ship, imaginations soar.

Caterers

Catered events are welcome at the Discovery Museums.  We are happy to provide a list of museum approved caterers.  An additional custodial fee is applied to all catered parties:  $30 for events up to three hours/$50 for parties over three hours.

Alcohol may be served at rental events with an insurance rider. A copy of the insurance rider must be given to the Discovery Museums prior to the event.

Off-Site Meetings

The Discovery Museums is available to host corporate meetings and department functions.  Both day and evening times are available. Rentals include use of the Discovery Classroom and a Museum visit. The Discovery Classroom The Discovery Classroom is a separate building that may be rented for daytime birthday parties and off-site meetings.  For evening rentals, the classroom can be used for catering set-up at an additional fee.
