Exhibits at the architecturally acclaimed Science Museum begin outside with the large parabolic whisper dishes and a variety of sound and music exhibits. Inside are water and vapor whirling vortexes as well as rock and mineral explorations. The Museum is filled with innovative science theme spaces inviting exploration and experimentation.

Here are a few of the exhibits that you will see when you visit...

Earth Science

What was the earth like in prehistoric times?  Learn about the geological history of our state.  Examine fossils under a magnifying glass.  See what creatures were alive and how they have evolved.


Sea of Clouds

Reach into the fog and create disturbances that develop into complex convection currents and flow systems.  This sculpture explores such elements as fog, sky, wind, and clouds in the atmosphere surrounding the earth.


Rubber Ball Music Wall

Come play a whimsical musical instrument made from a variety of organ pipes that you power by squeezing rubber balls!  Find out the difference between a reed and a flue pipe, and discover what makes a cuckoo clock say "cuckoo."


Solar Storms to Radio Waves

This new exhibit at The Discovery Museums, explores the world of radio waves and how they are affected by space weather in the Earth's upper atmosphere caused by storms on the Sun.


 

Inventor's Workshop

Try your hand at carpentry.  Build a boat or a car or do a fun sculpture.  Use your imagination and build something to take home.  Work with paper, ribbons, beads.....see what you can create!
