Workshop Topics for K - 8 | Traveling Science Home

Availability: Workshops are offered year round, Monday through Friday

# of Workshops/Day: 1 to 5 workshops provided in a single day

Group Size Requirements: One classroom of 25 or fewer students per workshop

Grade Levels served: K to 8. See topic description for further guidance

Topic Selection: Choose from 12 different workshop topics. See topic description for further guidance

Site Requirements: Workshops are presented in a teacher's classroom or other available space. It is helpful to have running water in the classroom or nearby. For the Light program, the room must be darkened.

Rates: $355 for up to two workshops in a single day. Each additional workshop on the same day is $70/workshop. A maximum of 5 workshops is allowed. Material fees are listed with each topic's description and are between $18 to $35 per workshop. Mileage fees may apply. Payment is due in advance.

Special Hour Long Program Rates:
Simple Machines: The Lever One hour program fees: $425 for up to two workshops presented in a single day. Add up to two more workshops on the same day for just $85 each. Material and mileage fees are additional.

Physical Changes of Matter Level II One hour program fees: $425 for up to two workshops presented in a single day. Add up to two more workshops on the same day for just $85 each. Material and mileage fees are additional.
